Safety First

Still on the same day when I visited the bridge over the Progo River, due to heavy rain, my friends and I stopped in at Rewulu Station to find a shelter. At the same time, all electric signals and switches malfunctioned after having been struck by lightning. All signals automatically turned to red.

Therefore, two trains which were about to pass or stop at the station from both directions were halted before the home signals. Two employees of the station went to the home signals to pick up both trains, whereas the station master was ready to give the pass-the-red-signal form to the trains when they entered the station. The first train to enter the station was Prambanan Ekspres from Yogyakarta. The station master gave the form to the engineer, and the train continued its journey to Kutoarjo. The second train was Argo Dwipangga from Gambir to Solo.

Actually the station master could give the permission to pass the red signals to both trains by radio, but it would be against the procedure.

Nice, and seems like you're really a railfan buddy :D
Anyway, in the past three years I've been traveling with Senja Utama Jogja every two or three weeks and every single week in the past two months.
PT. KAI still got many works to do to provide better service.
Hopefully they'll start to deal with an obvious problem on the train, %u201Ccorruption on the train coach%u201D.
